Dawn is a very keen plants woman and I’ve been a landscape gardener for more years than I care to remember!
During my working life here in France, I’ve had numerous clients ask me to create gardens for them. It’s never been a problem finding trees or shrubs, however perennial plants are a different matter. This is why in 2013, we decided to open our own nursery to try and cater for the lack of choice here in the South West of France. We grow all of our stock from either seed, division or propogation.
We are continually developing our own garden to house the plants we keep in stock. We encourage customers to walk around the garden so they can then see the plants growing in situ. We hope this helps them to make a more informed decision when choosing plants for their own gardens. Our garden overlooks a lovely lake where there is always something interesting to see, ducks, dragonflies and fish jumping, just to mention a few. While on the subject of nature, we’re always trying to encourage more into the garden and lots of our nectar rich plants are on the RHS ‘Perfect for Pollinators list‘.
From 2015 our garden has been accepted by the Jardins Ouverts/Open Gardens Scheme. All the proceeds raised are donated to charitable organisations in France. The opening dates for our garden will be posted on our Facebook and Google+ pages and also via our Newsletter.
